All-black everything! My personal style ranges from super feminine florals and butterflies to bohemian rhapsody ’70s style to teenage boy “I could care less” to all-black fashion realness. I know that was a lot to take in, but that’s the beauty of fashion; there is no right answer! I love switching up my personal style and surprising myself with new styles, colors and shapes. This all-black sporty normcore look was inspired by Osklen’s São Paulo fall 2016 collection. The collection uses sports wear as its focus, pairing loose fit white blouses with classic bodycon black skirts and tennis shoes. Osklen’s collection definitely emphasizes and reinvents the classic color combo of black and white with a sporty feel.
What I love about this look that I created is the simplicity, how comfortable it is and the classic take on black with a moto and sporty edge. Pairing sneakers with skirts and dresses is a trend that I have definitely jumped on this season. Being in the city, I am constantly wanting to dress up and express my personal style a bit but not wanting to commit to a full out dressy look with heels or booties. So lately I have swapped my heels for a pair of my favorite Nike sneakers, which gives my look the perfect balance of sporty-chic and classic style. I made this look my own by layering a gray moto sweater underneath my black vegan leather  jacket to break up the all-black with my second favorite color: gray! Layering can add dimension to an outfit and not to mention an extra layer never hurt anybody, especially as the NYC air gets a little colder! Another one of my favorite things to do to make an outfit a little more playful is to knot the corner of a boxy T-shirt. By tying up your T-shirt, you can choose to transform a regular shirt into a sporty yet effortless cropped shirt.
