Don’t let that business attire hide your personality from shining through! A good way to let others see you for who you are is through fashion. However, wearing a business outfit can often feel like a uniform when everyone wears the same black dress pants, white button-down and black blazer. Well, throw this uniform out the window because you won’t need it anymore. All you have to do is maintain that same business allure but with a cool and funky twist to your outfit. Of course, it all depends how serious the event really is but if it’s not really that serious I’d recommend you to try this look out.
I am wearing a black sweater with a camel tone accent at the top. Instead of wearing a pair of dress pants I decided to wear my favorite pair of, what I would call, a skort. (It’s a pair of shorts that look like a skirt). It was pretty cold at the time, so I decided to wear something funky underneath and chose these comfortably warm burgundy tights that I got from Topshop. To look professional, I picked out my oversized grainy blazer from Forever 21, which is my favorite item in my closet. It makes any outfit look cool and collected. To finish off my outfit, I chose these black leather booties with a slight heel to make me look more sophisticated. For accessories, I only wore a cute golden heart necklace and some black shades. My favorite for the first collection was look 14 with the pop of color and my favorite for the second one was look 20 with those groovy looking pants.
Be creative when it comes to dressing up for a business event. You want to stand out from the crowd! Look professional but make a statement with something that screams who you are.
