For me, fashion is all about standing out from the crowd. One of my favorite things about shopping is discovering hidden treasures on a rack, shelf or even an online shopping cart. I like finding things that are a little bit different than what everyone else has and standing out from the crowd.
That appears the be the mentality behind the Clover Canyon resort 2016 collection. The vintage style and use of color-blocking in the collection give off a bold and bright look. Every piece looks completely unique with rompers, tunics, dresses, skirts, pants and even jumpsuits.
I was especially inspired by Look 12. The bright pop of red certainly captured my eye while the neutral white top balanced out the color. My romper mixes two different textures with a lace halter top and silk shorts which adds a little bit of versatility to the outfit. I love the romper’s ability to be on-the-go: I can wear this out during the day and easily wear it to a nice dinner with the fam.
I added my own spin on the look by throwing on a floppy sun hat. I think the pattern on the hat keeps the outfit interesting and eye-catching.
As far as accessories go, I decided to keep things simple with plain gold hoops and a gold scoop necklace. I slipped on a pair of nude flats to keep the romper long enough and because I didn’t want to take away from the outfit with distracting shoes. With a swipe of red lipstick, I was ready to go!
