Ralph Lauren’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection was simply stunning, especially with its added Western elegance. The show started off with neutral earth tones and furs then transitioned into bright whites and sophisticated pieces, which then turned into darker more polished formal wear. But what really caught my eye was a gorgeous white lace dress that was adorned with a high sophisticated neckline. What made the dress even better was the addition of a wide-brimmed hat and brown platform sandals for a touch of that Western flair.
Usually, when I think of lace, I reflect back on the days when I was young and was forced to wear itchy, pink lace dresses with equally scratchy tights to special events. You can guess that ever since then, I have avoided anything with lace like the plague. That is until I saw that beautiful Ralph Lauren dress and I just had to replicate the look for myself with (you predicted it) my very own pink lace dress.
Even though the Ralph Lauren attire is better suited for cooler weather you can still turn this autumn style into the perfect summer look. I exchanged the model’s long sleeve dress for my own sleeveless dress to better accommodate for the summer heat. I then paired my pastel colored dress with a gray floppy hat for that perfect boho-country style that is similar to the runway collection. Last of all, I wore tan booties in place of platform sandals for my own take on the ensemble.
Overall, with an outfit this stylish, I think I might start wearing lace and pink more often, or maybe just once a year is enough for me.
