Fashion inspiration can be found in anything, but the easiest and most logical place is the runway. The runway has all the season’s latest trends by everyone’s favorite high-end designers. My Pinterest board is always flooded with NYFW looks I’m obsessed with. Recently, I have been inspired by DKNY spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection. DKNY choose a neutral palette, which does the clothes justice. The menswear-inspired collection also took on an edgy vibe. The models wore a Chelsea boot and sneaker combination, which looks effortless with the gorgeous designs.
Look 30 was my main inspiration. I loved the oversized coat and white dress combination. I ditched the white dress idea and went for matching boyfriend jeans since the weather isn’t very welcoming. It also makes the look more casual and ideal for class. I wore a leather jacket from Forever 21 and paired it with a striped crop top underneath. I’m obsessed with the clutch, but that isn’t practical for class, so I grabbed my Kate Spade instead. Since most of the snow is gone, I finally got to rock my new adidas Stan Smith sneakers. I love pairing these with skinny jeans. They really can transform a look. Lastly I paired my favorite sunglasses with the look.
I kept my makeup minimal with a bold brow. While most of the makeup was simple in the DKNY show, a few models wore a red lip. I’m a sucker for a bright lip, so I put on my favorite red to match the models.
