I love to mix my masculine and feminine pieces together. An oversized jacket with a chic dress is one of the easiest ways to pull this off. Fashion week is upon us, and like all the other Fashionistas out there, I’ve been watching all the new collections walk down the runway.
Taking hints from Saint Laurent’s autumn/winter 2016-17 ready-to-wear collection, I paired a black, shearling leather jacket with a bright red lace dress. Saint Laurent had a lot of fabulous jackets coming down the runway. One thing I particularly love about this collection was the masculine essence throughout the entire show. The collection uses black as its main source of color inspiration, but there were pops of red seen throughout the show.
I love to wear red because it is such a bold color and always makes a statement when you walk into a room. Wearing red is a major confidence booster too. Whenever I wear red, I know people will notice because it is such a loud color. A lot of people tend to steer away from red because of its bold color but i say go for it!
My favorite part about this outfit is the small, delicate details of my necklaces. Because I am wearing such a bright color and an oversized jacket, small jewelry is a great way to finish off my look without being over the top.
