STYLE GURU STYLE: Red, White and Latte

Although we do not try, many of us look in our closets and find a sea of black and white. Shopping trip after shopping trip, the penguin attire is still remnant. But there is nothing wrong with this commonality as black and white can always become jazzed up with accessories. Whether it is shoes, makeup or my hair, I always try to make each outfit of the day unique.

When looking at the resort 2017 runway collections from Vogue, Antonio Berardi caught my eye. Antonio’s collection consists of feminine neutrals. His philosophy stands by the notion that “a woman’s clothes should reflect her femininity, propriety and sense of quality.” The clean cut lines, variety of fabrics, and the element of exposed skin through sheer fabrics kept me scrolling through all 35 looks. When spinning this runway collection into my own personal everyday style, I paired a Free People lace dress with high-top Converse sneakers. These Converse have a more feminine side to them due to their knitted exterior. I love these because not very many people have them, and they go with almost anything. These shoes were found on eBay and I cannot seem to find the exact ones, but on Amazon there have been the normal length knitted Converse.

Because every Fashionista loves coffee, why not go for red, white and latte? Target has already had Fourth of July attire stocked since the beginning of May, so if you are looking for something cute to wear on the big day, this is it! When it comes to details, Marc Jacobs is always my go-to. I am wearing a gold accented leather Marc Jacobs watch. Also featured are a pair of Marc bangles. Usually I am not huge on bangles, but every since Alex and Ani became popular I have opened my eyes to them.

This dress can be found on GILT for almost half the retail price of Free People. Any white lace dress, or lace dress in general will look great with Converse! This gives off that causal cute look, with an added side of comfort. Because the dress was so detailed up to my neck, I did not want to add a statement necklace because that detailing would then become covered up. Therefore the lips are always a go-to when needing color or a statement piece in any outfit! The shade used was MAC’s “Dangerous” Red.
