I am obsessed with leather. Words cannot explain the love that I have for leather. What do all my favorite rock gods all have in common? At some point they have all worn leather jackets. Leather motorcycle jackets are a necessity and can easily change the look of a simple outfit.
Alexander Wang’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection is the inspiration I have used for my outfit. I wanted my own outfit to be black and white. Alexander Wang uses different textures such as velvet and hardware to create contrast in his looks. I wore J Brand coated denim jeans to add an interesting texture to my outfit. Waxed denim has a leather-like look that also has a slight sheen.
I kept my look simple because I wanted my jacket to be the main staple piece. I wore a motorcycle jacket that is both leather and fur. Mixed media jackets can add more interesting textures to an outfit. I wanted to reflect how Alexander Wang used different textures to make his all-black collection stand out.
I wanted to add a simple classic piece by adding a simple white silk button-up. I love the fact that this blouse is slim fit while still being slightly oversized. To complete my look, I wore a cool pair of leather booties. I love finding finding shoes with unique details because then I can make sure that my shoes can be my statement piece.
