Lately I have been loving light colors, neutrals and minimal style. When flipping through Saks Potts spring 2017 I was immediately inspired by the simplicity and beauty of colors in the collection. It was filled with light colors, denim and amazing jackets that I wanted so bad. My personal favorites were the first few looks with the light blue as well as the graphic tee combined with the floral-printed skirt. These looks have a timeless chic feel that I am obsessed with.
Another item this collection included a lot of that drew me to it was the use of jackets. There were so many beautiful and unique jackets, and I am definitely a sucker for a good jacket! They are so much fun to dress up and can change a look instantly. One of my favorite pieces this summer has been my denim jacket. I actually bought this last year when I felt like it was an essential item to have but never really started wearing it until this summer. When looking at this collection I was reminded of how much I was loving denim jackets and knew I had to include it. I paired it with another romper I have been wearing a lot this summer because of its colors. The romper and denim jacket complement each other so well!
When interpreting this look I chose to make it more bohemian than minimal because that is more my personal style. I loved the use of denim and the colors so I used that inspiration to create my own look. Always remember to stay true to yourself when being inspired!
