If you haven’t noticed, bomber jackets are the absolute BOMB right now. They are so versatile, even if they’re of the wacky and bright sort. They are easily paired with both daytime and nighttime looks, and are the perfect item to spice up your ensemble.
The Gucci pre-fall 2016 collection is immaculate. The satin bombers are on point. The patterns, that are comprised of different arrays of animals, florals and prints, are stunning. The thing that makes Gucci unique is the way that it is able to mix so many patterns and textures that the average Joe would never think of combining. However, it totally works. For my look, I chose to let the satin bomber do its job and kept the rest of the pieces simple.
As always, there should be a focal point of the outfit. Here, it is the bomber. Layering it over a lace-up shirt is a fun and flirty way to spice up a rather ordinary item of clothing. Cigarette pants are a must for every woman. They’re sleek, sexy and sophisticated. Paired with my Chanel ankle strap loafers, and the look is a classic masterpiece. Audrey Hepburn would be giving you a thumbs up, for sure!
This was a particularly fun look to play around with, because I was able to incorporate one of Gucci’s signature look into an outfit that I am comfortable in and am used to wearing. Whether I paired the bomber with this look or even over a dress, your aesthetic is transformable. Day to night the satin bomber, following in the footsteps of the Gucci name, is a game changer.
