Have you every noticed how romantic the fall season is? With the leaves changing into so many beautiful warm colors, one cannot help but be inspired to incorporate these rich shades into their own look.
The romance of fall is something that has surely inspired me to incorporate aspects of the Alexander McQueen’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection into my own everyday look, such as the colors black and burgundy. These colors are heavily emphasized throughout the entire collection, which creates this sense of timeless beauty of love. What was so inspiring about this collection was how vivid the passion could be seen through the colors used.
I translated this runway trend into my own look by keeping my ensemble practical, while also making sure that the look captured the same romantic elements seen throughout the collection. In addition, I also wanted to ensure that the feminine aspect of the look was shown through the inclusion of the flowing skirt. I included my own edge by pairing it with a quilted faux leather jacket.
For my look, I decided to pair a thermal cowl neck sweater with a long cotton maxi skirt. To dress up the look, I focused a lot on the accessories. I added a few layered necklaces and a wide-brim hat to complete the ensemble.
One thing is for certain, whether you are trying to catch that special someone’s attention or simply embracing the fall season, this look is definitely sure to turn heads. It is flexible enough to transition from a busy day of classes into a casual date night. Can’t you just feel the romance in the fall air?
