You can’t enter a retail store or browse a magazine this fall and miss the abundance of fuzzy, cozy, uber-warm clothing! Fur and its cousin, shearling is showing up in vests, pullovers, lush trim for shoes and boots and my favorite, suede jackets lined with the cuddly retro nod to the now cool faux fur! In fact, shearling and faux fur, along with plaid are two of the top fashion trends for fall, according to style experts at PopSugar. Everyone from Coach to Rebecca Minkoff to Altuzarra paired shearling as lining and trim for fun jackets, vests and duster coats of leather, suede and even denim.The Burberry Prorsum fall 2015 fashion show gave us a nod toward ’70s fashion. I’ve paired my suede and shearling jacket with plaid for a warm, yet stylish update to my fall into winter wardrobe.
Here’s the “skinny” on the versatile pieces pictured throughout. I found this fun and oh-so-cozy faux suede and shearling jacket for a steal at one of my favorite stores, T.J.Maxx. I’m pairing it with another cozy, on-trend piece, the plaid blanket scarf. Wear these pieces with skinny jeans, cords, a long skirt or flare jeans.
One additional favorite look is a stack of bracelets! Mix and match metals, along with charms and jewels for a fun and inexpensive investment in accessories.
And the booties—let me just tell you that these are one of my favorite finds of the season! Burgundy is so versatile, it goes with everything.
