With new spring styles popping up left and right, the perfect inspiration can be just around the corner. For me, ace&jig’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection was just that. With unconventional pattern pairing and light colors, this collection epitomizes the everyday spring look I aspire to have. The loose-fitting pieces are just my cup of tea due to the humidity that usually gets the best of my outfit. This collection is unique in that the combination of patterns is something daring and fun and something that everyone should try.
I decided to take certain aspects from this collection and incorporate them into to my own look. The repetitive use of a washed denim color inspired me to select this buttoned skirt from PacSun. The mixed patterns are one of my favorite things about ace&jig’s collection. My crop top from Marshalls plays up this bold idea with gray stripes and a floral pocket. I am always trying to find ways to wear loose clothing without looking as though I’m swimming in it. Pairing a crop top with a skirt that is fitted at the waist allows for some shape to still exist. A little neon adds just a touch of bold color and is perfect for spring. As pointed flats are forever and always my fashion obsession, it was only necessary to wear a pair of taupe flats that strap around the ankle.
This spring collection provided interesting and different ideas of what I can include in my wardrobe. Though movement is already a key characteristic of my style, I definitely want to try unconventional matching in the near future.
Get My Look: 1. A buttoned skirt. 2. The perfect pointed flat. 3. A mixed pattern crop top.
