In my opinion, there is nothing better than a simple black dress that you can easily accessorize for any occasion. Keeping it clean and chic is the perfect way to go out during any time of the year. Alexander Wang’s fall 2015 ready-to-wear runway collection put into perspective how great you can look in black on black without looking like Morticia Addams.
Though we are currently in the middle of summer and the Alexander Wang collection is geared toward the cooler months, there is no reason why we can’t take what we found most appealing about his collection and turn it into our own summer paradise. The moment I saw this dress, I was in love. It hugs my body to perfection, has a light weight T-shirt material and gives me a blank slate to work with. It is perfect. To switch up the solid color and add some simple little accents to the outfit, I decided to incorporate some tropical hues. The shoes are turquoise and green, making them stand out easily when paired with this basic dress. Also the sunglasses are an excellent match to the shoes, detailed in the same color combo to keep it uniform with the rest of the look. Lastly, I added some beautiful blush rose embellished earrings to finish complete the outfit. What is excellent about this look is that it will be easily transferable when fall does roll around by adding a couple layers. Little adjustments are no sweat when you are working with the perfect little black dress.
