As someone who wears a lot of blacks and grays, I’m always looking to add some color into my wardrobe. After looking at the highlights of the Moschino fall 2015 ready-to-wear fashion show, I decided to experiment with some items that I had in my closet. With this fashion show, designer Jeremy Scott took inspiration from classic street style and with the outfit that I put together, I tried to do the same.
This collection had many standout pieces that I tried to mimic, but I think that my entire outfit displays many similarities to that of Look 18 in the collection. Where the model is shown wearing pieces emblazoned with Looney Tunes characters, I toned my look down by keeping it classic. First I decided that I would wear pants and I did so by wearing jeans because denim plays an important role in the later looks that are modeled in the Moschino collection. Then, instead of a basketball jersey bearing the word MOSCHINO in big block letters, I opted for a tank top that reads “I’d Rather Be at a Concert.” I believe that the saying on my tank top achieves the same fun, quirky style that Scott was going for in his collection.
I’m a sucker for a great hat, so my favorite part of this entire collection was looking at the different hats the models had to accessorize their outfits. I decided to go with a New York Yankees snapback hat to accessorize my look because the hat not only added character to my outfit, but it added color and personality as well. I also admired the simplicity of the shoes all the models were wearing, so I opted to add a pair of wedge Nike high-tops to complete my outfit. It’s fun to experiment and play around with fashion, so I loved this look that I pulled together because it’s stylish and comfortable all at the same time.
