The Mulberry fall ready-to-wear 2015 collection inspired the oversized overcoat that I donned this week, but if you know me you know I had to add my splash of color! Diana Vreeland herself once said that a woman should always have a pair of purple gloves. My pair just so happen to be as fabulous as her: cashmere-lined leather and they’re Coach.
The Mulberry collection took account that the oversized look is still on the scene! Though the predictions for next season is way more tailored, Mulberry stayed true to the trend of the past couple seasons. The collection was full of sophisticated pieces that were inspired by art and Georgian architecture. While that may not be my style entirely, it’s nice to be someone else for a day, fashionably. I tried to mix a few textures in my look because that’s what was portrayed in the collection. I incorporated pieces that were precisely combed or picked to create a dynamic look and feel to each garment.
I enjoyed every second of the show and it gave me a sense of luxury and detail that I will carry into my future outfits. Mulberry invented an encompassing look that takes craft to the next level. The make and quality of the garments can translate to any category of clothing whether that be preppy or boho. Just be smart when shopping and always choose quality above everything.
