Although spring has not arrived yet, it’s time to prepare those spring outfits. While watching the spring fashion shows, my eye caught on to the Alexander Wang collection. This collection resembled street style city looks. Throughout the show, we saw netted mesh shirts, pajama tops, denim-leather jackets, bomber jackets, lingerie dresses, skirts, cropped jackets, fringe and denim.
Using my inspiration from the show, I have created my own look reflecting the Alexander Wang spring 2016 collection. I was inspired by the use of mixing fabrics from denim, to mesh, to silk pajama tops. This outfit is a mix of sporty and city.
The overall collection had many different styles, mixing each one within each outfit. For my outfit, I created a more practical and minimal sporty city girl look. To achieve my look, I started off with white distressed jeans with a simple crop top. From there I brought in the layering inspiration from the show by mixing a mesh bomber jacket with a cropped military jacket. Instead of wearing a netted mesh top, I incorporated mesh through the bomber jacket, adding on the layers—perfect for the unpredictable city weather. For shoes, I added leather ankle boots to go with my small leather cross-body bag. If you are looking to add on to this outfit, go for adding accessories. Simple accessories like long dangled earrings or chunky metal chain-linked necklaces and bracelets.
