Burberry Prorsum’s resort 2016 runway show was everything I loved put into one collection. This line featured neutral colors, midi dresses and intricate lace detailing—what else could you ask for? Most of the looks from the show were accessorized with peep toe wedges, mini bucket bags and middle parts. Burberry Prorsum always has a way of making feminine silhouettes look effortless and chic, which is something I always aim for with my own person style. Anything in this collection is perfect to wear on a summer date night.
For my interpretation of the show, I kept it classic and simple with a black and white striped dress. Midi length skirts and dresses have been a favorite of mine for the past few seasons. The modest length is flattering on almost every body shape and the side slits are a flirty touch. I paired my look with my favorite two-strap sandals, which combine comfort and trendiness. I tie this all together with my most important summer essential, a black leather cross body bag. To add a little bit of edge to my outfit I wore a faux septum ring, and after seeing the edge it gives my look, I’m seriously considering making it permanent. I’ve been seeing these faux piercings everywhere, from Coachella to New York Fashion Week. It is always important to add a bit of your own personal style to an inspired look.
