If you’re a country fan like me, then warm weather means windows down and Tim McGraw playing on the radio, and you probably contemplated dropping close to $500 to spend three days in Indio, California at Stagecoach. However, if the logistics didn’t work out or the weekend was just too pricey, you probably stayed on campus (like me). Hey, if you can’t make Stagecoach, you can always Staycoach!
I stayed in LA for the weekend and spent as much of my days outside as I could. Luckily, we experienced some cooler temperatures and a whole lot less dust in Westwood (but seriously, I have mad respect for the people who managed to camp for three days in the desert).
When I headed to brunch on Sunday, I rocked my best cowgirl-chic outfit so I could live vicariously through my friends who went to the festival. I paired an off-the-shoulder black long sleeve top with some fringed denim culottes, black booties, and a western-inspired black belt. I wrapped my hair in a top knot and threw on some hoops for a little flare.
While culottes might not be everyone’s first choice (they are a bit too reminiscent of my childhood years in gauchos), this outfit could be similarly styled with a denim skirt or some ripped boyfriend jeans. Fashionistas could also dress it down with some Stan Smith sneakers and a crossbody bag.
While my weekend could have been filled with dancing in sweaty crowds and listening to Maren Morris with a sunset backdrop, I am more than happy to save that money for more shopping trips, Postmates orders, and Uber rides home at 2 a.m.
