Louis Vuitton’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection brings back the 70s. Though spring is still around the corner, get ready to take out the crazy prints hiding in your closet. The array of colors on the runway is not too bold, but is set to a more subtle level. The range of textures is extremely adventurous. From velvet to leather, the era of experimenting finally has made its comeback. With that, a group of bottoms with novelty prints, such as 50s cars, headphones and paisley, are complemented with booties throughout the show. I love how this collection shows that anyone can still be fashionable in the spring with not just floral prints!
I was inspired by the novelty printed cropped pants with matching tall booties. To keep it casual for the spring, I paired a simple cropped laced top with my paisley printed pants. Though my pair of pants are not originally cropped, I refined them by cuffing the ends. I then completed my outfit with ankle booties. To make those long walks easier on campus, I chose to wear booties with no heels. My cropped top and pants are perfect for the spring weather. Because of the current season, oversized cardigans are perfect to accommodate the chillier temperatures.
This spring 2015 show opened my eyes to the different prints and textures that any college student can wear on a day-to-day basis. I incorporated the aspect of the 70s and modern hippie inspiration into my regular school day outfit. I hope to find more prints on campus in the upcoming spring quarter!
