Stripes and prints are something most people wouldn’t even dare try and to be honest, I’m usually an all-black attire type of girl. Although, this day was an exception because I was going to be in the audience of The View. They ask the audience to dress in formal and colorful attire. At first, I was horrified because I own no such thing. So I went deep down into my closet and found these two pieces. Now it’s not so formal but definitely colorful, at least in my book.
So I picked out a stretchy stripped shirt with an angled cut to the sleeves. I personally love strips and the detail of the sleeves give it a very cute, girly flair. I like this shirt especially because it has a nice feminine neckline. It shows just enough collarbone and shoulder giving it a flirty feel. Transitioning overalls into fall, I paired it with this distressed star denim overall. The bottom is lightly fringed and since it was rainy and cold I through on some tights underneath. Not only was this outfit super comfortable, but it was also super cute and easy. I’m stepping out of my comfort zone because I am quick to through on black leggings, a black shirt and call it a day.
But I’m glad I chose to do something different. I also wore simple black Chelsea boots and my trusty leather jacket. I can never get enough of leather jackets. They are an essential to anyone’s wardrobe. I clearly am not ready to let go of fall and step into winter, but I will do it with style and you should to. Don’t let the cold hold you back.
