I am a big fan of neutral color palettes; if you haven’t noticed by now so I am intrigued with any designer that makes a collection with neutral colors. While browsing through Vogue.com I ran across designer Bottega Veneta. I wasn’t aware of the designer beforehand but I liked what I saw and kept browsing.
It was the designer’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection. There were a lot of neutral colors like black, white and brown, as well as a lot of print in the collection, such as plaid and cheetah print. In a few of the ensembles there were some colors incorporated like pink, red, green and even blue. As a whole the collection was beautiful. It featured long coats, loose fit trousers, knit fabrics, dresses and skirts, along with pant suits and glittered coats.
I found a way to incorporate the overall look of the brand into my own style. The multiple use of prints in the collection inspired me to wear a striped sweater. I went with a longer one as well because throughout the collection. you notice a lot of long oversized outerwear. I matched the sweater with a gray faux suede dress. Seen in the collection are a lot of dresses and suede is everywhere in the stores now. It’s been a trend for a while now (that I am in love with) and has finally hit the stores. I paired the outfit with knee-high boots so they would blend in with my black leggings I wore. A chunky necklace and some dainty sliver earrings completed my look.
Get My Look: 1. Faux suede dress. 2. Black knee boots. 3. Statement necklace.
