With summer slowly shrinking away, everyone is rushing to put together their final warm weather outfits of the season. I, however, am not ready to let go of the summer trends because there is no way my favorite blue strappy sandals’ days are numbered. If you are like me and are not ready to completely abandon your summer wardrobe while also hoping to stay on trend for fall 2016, you are in luck.
For my Style Guru Style column, there was no way to not feature my white off-shoulder crop top with ruffle detailing from Urban Outfitters. Whether it be with print, solid shorts or boyfriend jeans, this top is a go-to with almost any bottoms I own. Even better, it will have you feeling on trend through the fall, as designers such as Rebecca Minkoff and Hellessy displayed the same trend at New York fall fashion week.
Throughout the summer, my denim skirt has been a loyal piece of mine because let’s face it, who wants to put on pants in the morning when you can just shimmy into an outfit that immediately evokes style envy? Despite this fact, the denim skirt has been a bit over worn, so when finding a pairing for my top, I looked no further than these soft chambray shorts from Forever 21. The cool hue of the shorts complement the darker tones of my sandals, making the outfit still bright and summery. While it hurts to part with my denim skirt every once in a while, I was most of all sold on these shorts due to the comfy pockets.
It’s sad to think that by my next post it will probably be less than 70 degrees out, but this Style Guru is prepared to adapt and I hope you all are too!
