This week, I was inspired by Wes Gordon’s 2016 resort collection. In part of his collection, he featured models in simple white dresses and shoes. All of his collection, as well, featured simple and easy outfits.
When people ask me what my favorite color is, I usually reply with “white” or “ivory.” Although some argue that white is actually a tint and not a color, I always stick with that answer. I love how white is so crisp, pure and simple, and can be added to anything to give it a fresh effect. When I saw this collection, I was instantly drawn to the simplicity of the look and white dress.
I chose to keep it simple like Gordon did in his collection, too. I stuck with an easygoing, white long-sleeved dress and added a pair of dark camel colored wedges. I love this dress because of the beautiful crochet detailing and sleeves. I find it gives off a somewhat boho vibe, which I also love. I also love how simple the shoes are! I rarely find myself in wedges and heels; however, I was drawn to these with the dress! I love the way the brown and white pair together.
Another one of my favorite parts of the collection was the simple makeup. The models all sported relaxed hair, as well as natural makeup and glowy skin. If you know me at all, you know that I am addicted to face highlighters, so this was an extra win in my book!
