STYLE GURU STYLE: The '70s Are Back

Cool weather is quickly approaching, which means all of us girls can start wearing our favorite sweaters, scarves and boots. This also means that we can finally wear all the new fall trends that we saw at New York Fashion Week during the spring time. One trend that caught my attention and that I am quickly falling in love with is the ’70s trend. I have always loved everything about this decade and it makes me so happy that it is a major trend for this fall. The Zimmermann fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection channeled this trend perfectly.

On the runway, Zimmermann showed pieces with a lot of flair, high-waist pants, loose maxi dresses and puff sleeve blouses. All of the pieces had a flowing feel to it. The white peasant blouse that I am wearing gives off the ’70s vibe with puffy sleeves with a subtle touch of embroidery. I am still not completely hooked on the bell-bottom pants just yet, so I paired this top with a dark wash skinny jean and a pair of leather booties. I also wore a fringe cross-body bag to carry all of my stuff in and complete my look.

Some of the looks on the runway were in beautiful colors and bold patterns, but my style is simple. I wanted this look to have the ’70s vibe while still keeping it simple. I also kept my accessories to a minimum by wearing a few rings and a wrist full of delicate bracelets.

Get My Look: 1. Peasant blouse. 2. Fringe bag. 3. Booties.
