The bomber jacket, Stan Smith tennis shoes and classic logo T-shirt definitely epitomize some of the biggest comeback trends of 2016. Not only have they been exposed through countless fashion blogs, magazines and celebrities but they have made their way into our current wardrobe favorites as well. And just like all good trends, it’s best when they can be incorporated into anyone’s closet—and the bomber jacket is definitely no exception.
This brings me to the main inspiration for my look, which is none other than the Undercover spring 2016 menswear collection. I absolutely adore getting influences from menswear and incorporating those androgynous elements that help blur fashion gender lines. This collection is a laid back yet classic approach to casual wear by mixing everything from logo T-shirts and sweatshirts to blazers and of course, bomber jackets.
For my specific outfit, my goal was definitely to create that same laid back approach by mixing staple elements and trendy athleisure. I began with a white statement adidas trefoil T-shirt and ripped black skinny jeans. I aimed to create contrast and balance, by utilizing both white and black pieces. So, I paired my white Stan Smith sneakers and topped it off with a black satin bomber jacket with silver details.
Overall, these pieces come together to create a simple but street worthy ensemble that would suit any Fashionista/o just by sporting some of the biggest trends of the season together.
