New York Fashion Week has ended and the runways were filled with pure perfection, especially on Michael Kors runway. His fall 2015 ready-to-wear line was absolutely breathtaking and this is not a surprise. The color palette was anything from gold and black to blues and camel. His show perfectly portrayed what ready-to-wear is supposed to be like, which is actually wearable clothing items. The models strutted their stuff in fur-lined trench coats, detailed patterned dresses and women’s two piece skirt suits. The show also introduced some splashes of glitter in stunning floor length evening gowns. The runway was a mix of casual and formal looks for both men and women.
I can honestly say that all the pieces were must-haves for my closet. My all-time favorite look of the show was when Alexandra Elizabeth appeared on the runway in a long camel trench coat. These coats are the trend of the season and I highly suggest that everyone  invest in one. Camel is a complementary color for all skin tones and pairs well with just about any color imaginable.
Kors inspired me to dial back my usual colorful wardrobe and mix it up with some neutral basics. I threw on my favorite Kenneth Cole New York camel trench coat. Next, I decided to add a plain black jersey T-shirt and black pleather leggings since leather bottoms have been a popular choice for many of the fashion shows this season. The midnight black platforms tied the look together by giving me that super tall model look that was seen on the runway. To make sure I stayed true to my colorful self, I made sure to apply a vibrant hot pink lipstick to top it off.
Get My Look: 1. A camel trench coat. 2. A basic black jersey T-shirt. 3. Black bootie platform shoes.
