Summer can be a trying time when it comes to style. Many days are just too hot to rock the pants you need to complete your ensemble, and oftentimes shorts just don’t fit the budget quite right when it comes down to the aesthetics of an outfit. Taking cues from Temperley London’s resort 2017 runway show, I decided to give an airy summer dress a try. London’s collection features many light flowy dresses featuring bright floral prints and colorful swirls with abstract patterns. These floral and painterly motifs inspired me to wear this lovely tunic dress I had buried in my closet, and transform it to a hot summer day ensemble.
I chose to accessorize my dress with a brown and gold choker necklace, neutral floppy hat and a pair of taupe gladiator type sandals to keep the feel of the outfit summery and casual. The choker necklace worked perfectly with the neckline of this tunic, while the hat made the outfit more comfortable for a sunny day whilst adding an effortless style detail to the outfit. The sandals, my favorite and most frequently worn pair of shoes at the moment, are perfect in that they have just the right amount of heel to be comfortable and flattering at the same time, and they go with pretty much everything I wear. Since sundresses and boho details are a few of my favorite fashion go-tos, giving this look a chance felt effortless and comfortable. I made this look my own by taking inspiration from one of my favorite collections and making it feel more bohemian and casual. My favorite part? Loose-fitting tunic dresses like this one are so comfortable! I will definitely be wearing this outfit all summer long.
