With a new year comes a new me, right? Wrong! Winter is in full effect here in Philadelphia and one would assume my clothing choices would change to accommodate the weather. But being “the Style Skeptic” that I am I decided to go very casual when throwing on this outfit featuring my favorite earth tones. Neutral colors, such as nude and blush pink, were a huge trend in 2016, so I decided to bring that trend into 2017 with this look.
I am a firm believer in wearing what you want when you want, and how you want. Fashion is more about being confident in what you’re wearing and not wondering if everybody else is wearing it. I am known to break a couple of fashion rules as you can see in the photos featured above.
When picking out these pieces to wear I wanted to put together an outfit that spoke to my personal taste while also being comfortable enough for a day of errands. I decided to go with a monotone themed outfit by pairing a basic nude T-shirt with a pair of tan chinos that I cuffed to add a slimmer effect to balance out the boxy structure of the T-shirt. I paired this look with a two-toned olive and khaki jacket to add a bit of color to the outfit without straying away from the earthy vibe. I also added a watch with a black leather strap from Reclaimed Vintage to this look to add some depth. This watch is one of my more versatile pieces which can be worn with a casual or formal outfit to take it to the next level. I completed this look with a pair of nude Puma Suede Classics.
