Louis Vuitton has, once again, taken an everyday staple fashion piece and made it into a lifetime must-have that everyone is rocking right now. Featured in the spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection, the motorcycle jacket has made itself one of this season’s most famous themes, going from masculine outerwear to a cool weather necessity that may carry itself on for generations. The show incorporated cool tones like pale pinks, light blues and beige and created an edgier approach to each look by adding black moto jackets or dark cuts to each garment. Although the ’70s seem to have grown upon us this year, the moto jacket combined with the feminine touch is most definitely channeling the ’80s Madonna and her “Crazy For You” frame of mind. The ’80s feel is most definitely why I’ve had my eye on Louis Vuitton’s spring 2016 line lately.
I paired my own moto jacket with gray and white: two colors taking over wardrobes this fall. Even when a leather moto jacket was not worn by the models in the runway show, the look always featured cool tones and a dark staple item. Trying to remain true to my own style, I combined a classy blouse with cropped white pants to be styled beneath a black moto jacket and some black ankle boots. I kept jewelry to a minimum since statement pieces aren’t a necessity when wanting to recreate this runway look.
Get My Look: 1. High-neck top. 2. Cropped white pants. 3. Faux leather moto jacket.
