Hello Fashionistas! Today I am here to share a look that was inspired by a trend many of us have seen on the runway: the patent oxford. This shoe is a staple accessory to various brands, one in particular being Stella McCartney. As soon as I saw Stella McCartney fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection, her tricolored oxford was the first thing that stood out to me. I knew I had to somehow incorporate a more wearable version into my everyday wardrobe.
I really wanted to find a similar shoe without having to spend a fortune, so I went to my go-to store, Forever 21. I was able to find an extremely affordable version that was cute, comfortable and excellent in quality. I wear these shoes to school, work, a fun night out and basically everywhere! Something I really like about them is that they are flats, but they make you look very put together without having to go through the discomfort of wearing heels.
In this outfit, you can see I went for a more casual look since I was going to have a long day at school. For the top, I went with a T-shirt that has a cool plaid back and a simple white front. I paired it with some casual black pants and, of course, my pointy black oxfords. I think it is super easy and affordable nowadays to be up-to-date with the latest trends. Stores like Forever 21, H&M, Zara and Topshop make it easy for college students on a budget to replicate trends seen on the runway!
