Cue the pastels and shed those layers because spring has finally arrived. While the weather here in Cincinnati is beginning to slowly rise, I am getting more excited than ever to start pulling out the spring gear that is buried in the back of my closet. While browsing spring 2015 ready-to- wear looks, I stumbled upon Rebecca Minkoff’s collection, which only fueled my excited for spring clothing.
My favorite aspect about dressing for spring is all the light colors incorporated in the clothing. I was inspired to create my look based off of Rebecca Minkoff’s collection, seeing as there are so many beautiful pastels and cream colors. This trench coat is my go-to in the spring because it is a beautiful light tan color and also helps keep me dry when spring showers hit. For this look in particular, I went a more casual route, pairing my trench coat with some light wash skinny jeans and gray leather sneakers. This look is perfect and practical for walking to class, while still looking cute.
The best thing about a trench coat like this one is having the ability to make your look casual or dressed up. Easily throw on a pair of heels with jeans and be ready for a night out on the town. If your occasion calls for something a little more fancy, simply throw your trench coat on over a dress as a cute cover up for when the cool weather sets in. The possibilities are endless when it comes to this piece of clothing, making it a key staple for springtime.
