The spring season has arrived, and although the sun has made great appearances, the rain still manages to creep in. It’s hard to wear sandals and cute crop tops when you just don’t want to get wet. However, there is always a solution, Fashionistas/os!
Donatella Versace just released a spring 2016 ready-to-wear line that takes us back to our tomboy days. The looks all feature neutral patterns that can be worn in any type of weather condition, so don’t be upset upset when it’s not sunny enough to wear the floral print pants quite yet. The earthy green, tan and blue hues of the collection were also present in the tailored mid-length trench coats features. This showed that layers, layers and more layers are back on the scene for this season as well.
In this look, I decided to try the boyish flare out for myself! The pants are a fan favorite neutral—black. However that waxed material add a slightly edgier or more rugged esthetic. The having a denim button up as a top, added dimension to the look as a whole. The loose fit also stays true to the tomboy theme, and adds a nice juxtaposition. I believe that the individual garments of an outfit should contrast one another—tight and loose, or long and short. Lastly, I took a risk and tries out a long patterned coat as a statement piece. Although though mine is not cut at the waist, like they were in the runway show, it still was comfortable and kept me warm from the day’s windchill.
Versace was there to have my back in this time of confusion regarding the spring season, and now I’m glad I could pass it along to you gems.
