Fashion Weeks are happening all over the place, from Los Angeles to New York. Everyone freaked out over Kanye’s Yeezy 3 show in Madison Square Garden and Rachel Zoe’s show was also a large focus of NYFW. While all these big designers are great, I also love to check out the collections created by less commonly known designers. One show that caught my attention was the Sally LaPointe fall 2016 ready-to-wear show. I loved the neutrals incorporated into the collection as well as the turtleneck trend that continues to permeate runways.
I love the edgy look of a turtleneck and how they have transformed from being a look of a ’90s mom to the look of a trendy millennial. I recently purchased this red-orange dress because I was drawn to the cool neckline and A-line cut. The line from SallyLaPointe really inspired me and I enjoyed the collection as a whole. I definitely identify with the use of feathers, black and fun necklines seen in the collection. Along with my super comfortable dress, I got these great little flats that are the perfect mix of casual yet trendy.
This outfit is perfect for running errands, picking up groceries or heading to class. It’s also a great way to transition to the beach (it’s 80 degrees in Malibu)! I wore this outfit for Valentine’s Day and thought it was the best thing to wear for my Galentine’s Day fun with my friends! If you need any easy outfit, this is the way to go!
