Turtlenecks are officially in and I could not be more excited about it! I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be hesitant to embrace this new trend because of the unsexy connotation that is usually paired with the garment. However, BCBGMAXAZRIA’s fall ready-to-wear collection took turtlenecks from drab to absolutely fab. The key styling tip to take away from this collection is to add layers with your turtleneck to create a classic, chic look.
I have to admit, I am probably going to embrace this trend a little more than I should. Indiana winters are nothing to mess with and the fact that layering AND turtlenecks are on-trend this season; nothing is stopping me from outfit repeating! I translated this collection into my own look by layering a cable knit turtleneck under a suede shift dress. I didn’t want my accessories to take away from the look, so I simply added a chunky gold watch to my wrist. To finish the look, I stuck with the suede theme and wore a pair of cute brown booties.
