Well, here we are! I cannot believe the semester has come to a close in just the blink of an eye. And you know what that means, right? Finals are around the corner, and it is not always easy trying to look fashion forward in the midst of cramming and stressing over the last minute assignments your professors throw at you. Luckily, I’ve been able to take some breaks and get out of my tiny little box to strut around downtown in my favorite red booties!
One of my style goals coming into this semester was to dress well as frequently as possible. Look good, feel good, you know? Well, I am not gonna lie, when the colder weather started sticking around longer than I was expecting, I started to get a little more practical with my looks. I was trying not to to completely sacrifice looking chic, though. Luckily, with the help of Santa Claus and Zara, I was able to keep my outfits trendy by rocking my favorite new red booties. The best part about these boots is that they are so versatile and can be worn in any season. So while I was trying to look as cool as possible while staying warm this past winter, these boots were my savior. Fast forward a couple of weeks (okay, months) and voila! I can break them out for spring. Seeing as I was still trying to look good to feel good, I changed my style vision to look a little more “classic with a flare” every once in a while. By keeping the rest of my outfit very simple with a white, loose-fitting sweater and jeans, I was able to add my boots as a focal point.
I accessorized this look with an adorable belt, compliments of F.H. Wadsworth, that matches the outfit perfectly. I’m really not much of a belt person, but I couldn’t help adding it to the look when I realized how much more lively it made my outfit. As far as my earrings go, I am in love with the pineapple trend happening. I was a huge fan of pineapples a couple of years ago and let it fizzle out, but boy am I glad to be pulling these out again! My gray crossbody is a super lightweight, yet class go-to bag by Rebecca Minkoff. I don’t every carry a lot with me when I am out and about, so this size purse is perfect for me and my lack of personal belongings.
Hopefully this summer will allow for some more experimenting with my moderately-classic style vision, but for now, I’ll leave you all with this look. Thanks for following along for another semester, it’s been a blast. Happy (almost) summer!
