A pair of over-the-knee boots and a breezy boho dress is my go-to outfit for the fall. This combination makes for a perfectly chic and edgy ensemble. You’ll be sure to look like a bohemian goddess while rocking this look. Drawing on inspiration from the BCBGMAXAZRIA fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection, I followed their color scheme by wearing predominately dark hues. Reds, grays, and black were used throughout the show for many of the looks. Most of the dresses were loose-fitting and whimsical, which is what I had in mind when choosing my dress. The collection this fall did a fantastic job at reinventing classic trends. They illustrated how making simple changes and layering dramatically alters any classic look.
For my outfit, my patterned dress would not had looked as dramatic with stockings or flats, but my boots bring it to the next level. Also, I chose a very simple cross-body bag because I did not want to take away from the pattern of the dress. BCBGMAXAZRIA’s collection proves that every ensemble can be worn during a variety of seasons with some minor adjustments. For this particular look, I did not add any layers because the crisp fall air hasn’t reach New Jersey yet. However, a blazer or sweater would look wonderful over my little dress on those chilly days. In their collection they proved that layering can only enhance an outfit’s appeal.
The collection was very ‘70s-inspired, which has been an overarching them on the runway this fall. Neutral colors are very popular this year and the focus is placed predominately on accessories to enhance one’s look. This fall, floppy hats, unique coats and daring boots are making a huge statement in the fashion world. BCBGMAXAZRIA’s collection proves that you can make any chilly day red-hot with the right accessories that will not only keep you warm, but also will make your look chic and stylish.
