Winter in the south isn’t much like a winter wonderland at all. Chilly mornings and hot afternoons can really confuse you when it comes to making outfit choices. With bipolar weather comes little to no direction on how to be stylish around town. Layering is everything when it comes to dressing in the winter! Capris and jeans are a go-to when you live in an area where mother nature appears to be confused.
When noticing what began to show up in stores for this winter season, I saw that white and cream seemed to be finally making an appearance. Growing up in the south I was also reminded that you NEVER wear white after Labor Day! Why you might ask? The answers was always, “Because Southern Belles just don’t!” White looks good on anyone and can be paired with any pair of jeans, leggings, or skirt for a nice winter look. Overlaying white like I did for this look can help to brighten your winter blues.
For this outfit, I paired a cream, long-sleeved, textured shirt with a white Sherpa sweater. Layering a long-sleeved shirt with a sweater left me comfy, cute, and warm the entire day! Of course distressed, light wash capris go with any outfit, but it’s no secret that jeans aren’t the comfiest choice to wear. However, cheetah-printed sneakers are definitely a secret when it comes to comfortable choices. Plus, who doesn’t love a nice cheetah print? For jewelry, I kept it simple and added a gold stoned, wrap bracelet for a pop and a pink-red lip to complete the look!
