In honor of Labor Day being less than a week away, I thought I’d get all of my white clothes out of my system. I’m finally back at school for my final year, and I couldn’t be any happier. My first week has been a pretty slow, makeup-less week, and I couldn’t have asked for a better first week. I’m back with all of my friends and we’ve been catching up and making up for lost times over a glass of wine. My week took a turn for the better when I was invited to three birthday parties all in one tonight. Of course, I overdid it a bit! While my roommate was walking beside me in a tank top, yoga pants and Nike Roshe tennis shoes, I showed her why I’m a CollegeFashionista.
I wore one of my favorite current trends, an off-the-shoulder crop top (similar) with high-waisted jeans from Forever 21. I accessorized this look with Alex and Ani bracelets, a red cross-body bag from T.J.Maxx and red sandals from Nordstrom Rack. These pieces are perfect back to school trends anybody can get into. Even though it’s a crop top, I can pull it down more if I want or pull the jeans up to cover any skin, just in case I want to wear this outfit to class. This look can also go for hanging out with friends, a lunch date or a birthday dinner.
I love this look because it is a very simple look, but the touch of color from the accessories made it pop. This is why I love colors so much. Regardless of how much you incorporate them into your look, it’s always enough to make you shine. If you’re the kind of person who isn’t into color, just do what I did here and start small. It’ll be just enough for any Style Guru.
