Black has been a style staple ever since the dawn of time. Why would it not be? It looks sleek and chic, it matches with everything and it’s effortless. Now that it’s summer, I love the idea of wearing a “uniform.” It takes no time at all and it always looks polished no matter what. However, it is June, so that means it’s time to put the black aside for a couple months and throw some white on. Believe me, it looks great with your tan. This is not a fairly new trend as both Carolina Herrera and Marc Jacobs (along with many, many other designers) decided to go “white out” for spring 2015. The designers paired white bottoms and white tops for the fashion show, both jeans and shorts were featured. The all white trend is a new way to show class and sophistication. All black works all the time so why should all white not work?
I chose to pair my white Zara jeans with a cozy knit top from Zara as well. The back is really interesting because it has a deep V—I love anything with an interesting back! Although I love this outfit and I felt really comfortable in it, I felt it was just a tad too white. So I made this a look a little more “street” friendly by adding some cool slip-ons from Vince (my staple shoes). This look would also be really cool with fun espadrilles that could add a pop of color to the monochrome outfit. I also brought along with me a denim jacket which is must-have for tricky New York City summer weather. When I got hot and wanted to take it off, I just wrapped it around my waist for that “cool” girl aesthetic. Lastly, I added some cool aviator sunnies from Ray-Ban.
Get My Look: 1. Go get yourself some white jeans or white shorts. 2. A really comfy white top. 3. Some cool shoes to give a bit of an edge 4. Confidence
