I don’t know about you, but I’m always down to celebrate some serious girl power. So when Moschino launched their Power Puff Girls line, I was all in. For those of you that don’t know, The Powerpuff Girls are a girl gang of three super girls out to save the world. You can only imagine my excitement when they asked me to join the club! Just kidding, unfortunately that didn’t happen, but I did wear a cool Powerpuff Girls scarf to the grocery store.
There’s nothing that screams “grown-up” more than rocking some serious couture. On the flip side, for those of us who scream “I don’t want to grow up” it’s pretty exciting when designers launch cartoon lines.
Your cartoon crush doesn’t have to stop with The Powerpuff Girls, this year Coach launched their Disney line. There’s nothing that makes me more giddy than the fact that I can rock a pair of Mickey Mouse ears and still be down for business. Maybe I wouldn’t go that far, but I do think these lines bring a little bit of necessary fun into the least happy place on earth—Adultland. Or for those of us in limbo—College World.
For this specific outfit I was going to run errands, so I wore a bright Powderpuff Girls scarf. I tied it bandana style because this ain’t your grandma’s silk scarf. I paired it with a leather moto jacket to bring some much needed edge to my Kidz Bop outfit. The super funky white sneakers have giant laces big enough for your adult hands to tie. My glasses are classic black and gold, but they still have a playful shape. The black high waisted jeans and lack of jewelry ensure that the outfit isn’t to over the top. I guess all I need now is super strength and you can start calling me Buttercup—the green Powderpuff Girl!
