Brrr! It’s getting cold out there! Growing up on the East Coast has taught me how to handle cold weather as well as snow. Since I am currently home for the holidays, I am definitely wearing lots of layers to stay warm. Now that snow is falling and winds are chilly, it is important to bundle up. I could have worn even more layers if I really wanted, however I didn’t want there to be too much clutter to this outfit.
This look that I put together is more of a casual, cozy, everyday outfit. It is perfect for the winter weather when all you want to do is curl up in a blanket and stay toasty. I paired a snug sweater poncho with my puffy Calvin Klein winter jacket. I have always had a winter coat with a fur-trimmed hood, so I knew when purchasing this jacket I needed to keep up the tradition.
Since there wasn’t much snow on the ground, I was also able to add my favorite pair of gray suede booties to this look. The fact that booties have heels might deter people from wanting to purchase them, but I know from experience that these shoes are supportive and generally comfortable.
Of course to top off this look I added my navy Longchamp tote bag! This is a tote that I literally cannot live without. My Longchamp tote fits everything from schoolbooks to everyday essentials and even some articles of clothing! It is definitely a useful purchase for any college Fashionista/Fashionisto.
I hope that this outfit is useful to get you through the chilly months ahead! Even though it’s winter, you can still be warm in style.
