If there is one thing my closet is full of, it’s black and white pieces—so chic, trendy and classic. I love the clean cut look of the two merging colors from opposite forces. This specific black and white piece is one that stands out in the crowd. While still appealing to it’s classic look, this piece has that special something to definitely get you noticed. So simple, yet powerful. Going for an overall comfortable yet stylish look, this outfit included light wash cut off shorts paired with a ribbed white criss-cross tank top. Accessorized accordingly with lace up black flats by none other than Steve Madden this outfit was BBQ ready. This look was comfortable enough to spend the entire day in while still looking put together. Taking the fringe bottomed kimono off during the day when the sun was at it’s blazing peak and putting it on right before we all huddled up by the fire pit; it’s perfect for a day to night transition.
What I specifically love about this stylish kimono is that it can be added to almost any simple outfit and make it super trendy. This can be added to any look for that perfect finishing touch. For example, a single colored sundress or a simple short and tank like I featured here.
Overall this look was influenced by the Saint Laurent’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear Line. The combination of the black and white pieces throughout his collection drove me to incorporating more yin and yang like style into my wardrobe. The majority of my clothing obsession is stylish everyday looks, which led me to finding this gorgeous kimono at Ruby and Jenna just a few days after reviewing the collection. The same royal blue color appears in serval of the pieces throughout his collection, which I substituted with my light wash denim shorts. Life is completely about expressing ourselves and being who we truly are, in that process we inspire others. This collection is very different from my look, yet it inspired me to create the outfit combination that I did. All we can be in this word is ourselves. Be happy, be unique, be creative and be you.
