To me, there’s nothing more ideal than unwinding poolside or wandering the hotel grounds, living the ultimate resort lifestyle. There has never been a time that I can recall that I wasn’t smiling or being fully grateful for my time spent at a resort (unless my older brother was involved.) With that, my love for resort wear was birthed. Resort wear is not an ordinary season line. I believe it’s more of a season solely based on a faultless lifestyle. Rachel Zoe created that in her resort 2015 collection, which was nothing less than that of mere excellence. It embodied the classic resort lifestyle that one hopes to accomplish when spending the day, or hopefully the week, lounging carefree.
For this recreation, I paired together a navy and white hooded slouchy deep V-neck tunic with ripped, loose jeans that I cuffed for my little legs. Although I did not mimic the high heels in the collection, for shoes I chose to go with a comfy yet versatile pair of navy and black strapped Chacos. I accessorized by wearing my go-to key necklace and my gold, jeweled Betsey Johnson watch. To add a pop of color, I debuted my new kate spade tamale red Lacey wallet to counteract my turquoise and red stone bracelet. To add one final touch and to complete my look, I wore a iconic pair of aviator Ray-Bans.
Although I’m unable to be “sitting pretty in suntan city” like the Luke Bryan song right now, this ensemble is perfect practice for the summer days at a resort that are to come.
