I believe it was the genius philosopher, Kanye West, who said, “It’s hard to really get fresh in Hawaii because you can’t like, layer up and everything.” While I am not looking to start drama with Mr. West (look how well that turned out for Taylor), I would have to argue that despite the tropical summer we have been experiencing, Fashionistas everywhere are still layering up (and looking fresh to boot!).
While typically a season characterized by wearing as little as possible, this summer Fashionistas are actually piling it on—on purpose. Summer jackets, which inherently seem like an oxymoron, are very much a thing.
