WHAT TO WEAR: Spring has Sprung

A new season means a refresh of our wardrobes. Out with the dark colors, and in with bright hues. With the semester coming to a end and final exams and term projects clouding our minds and lives, dressing up for the day and staying on trend does make a little go a long way. Looking good makes you feel good, and that’s exactly what this Fashionista is planning to do while cramming assignments and studying.

I spotted this Fashionista on campus during a winding-down Friday afternoon. She wore an off-the-shoulder, nautical, striped blouse. The off-the-shoulder look is a trend we’ve seen for a while now and is loved so much that it probably isn’t leaving anytime soon. Paired with her top are light wash skinny jeans. Something about light to white denim screams warm weather to many. For when the breeze kicks up, she throws on a jean jacket and rocks a Canadian suit.

When the temperature is still in that in-between season feeling but you still wanna show off your new pedicure and let those toes free after a long winter, pair sandals with your jeans like this Fashionista did with her platforms. Platforms are super comfortable while still hiking the outfit up a notch and can definitely be brought into the nighttime for a going out look—not to mention, added height for us short gals. For her accessories, she threw on classic round sunglasses, a reoccurring style we see yearly around this time thanks to Coachella and festival vibes. We can’t forget the red banana neck scarf, a newer fashion this year, that added a pop of color to the spring neutrals she’s featured in.

This look is appropriate enough to wear to school or your retail job but also stylish enough to wear to lunch with the girls; switch it up a bit and opt for a skirt and leather jacket for a night out.

Feeling confident in yourself and your outfit can set an overall tone to having a great day. We all need a little boost during finals week, and trendy ensembles definitely have the power to do just that.
