WHAT TO WEAR: Spring Transition

April showers? Stay away! So far this month, the sun has managed to find its way through, helping the temperature rise and boosting spirits around campus as the semester is more than halfway over, and the finish line is in sight!

It can be hard to dress for early spring weather; the mornings are cool, the sun still pushing its way through the clouds, but the afternoons heat up quickly and being able to shed layers is crucial! For days like this, wearing a light outer jacket or a long sleeve and puffy vest are great ways to dress warm enough for the morning, but still have the flexibility to remove layers later in the day. Cropped jeans and leggings are the perfect transitional pieces because they still allow you to show a little skin without fully committing to wearing shorts or a skirt!

In this look, this Fashionista is rocking the perfect outfit for the transition to spring. She is wearing a Zara, oversize, ripped denim jacket with a slightly lighter wash cropped jean pant. To break up her denim on denim ensemble, she is wearing a white Zara, short sleeve crop top with a tie detail in the middle. This top is great for warm spring days because it is classy enough to wear to class, but it still reveals a little skin, making it playful, bold, and unique. This Fashionista accessorized perfectly; she is wearing a J.Crew skinny leopard print belt to spice up her neutral top and denim pieces. Additionally, she is wearing baby pink Dr. Martens, which add a slight pop of color to her outfit!

It’s the middle of April, and the rain clouds are disappearing, which means it’s the perfect time to showcase your new, favorite, colorful spring pieces. With the semester nearing the end, don’t be afraid to be bold and risky before school is out for the summer!
