Fresh leaves, crisp cool air and all new Fashionistas and Fashionistos! Fall is among us and that means that another semester at Illinois State has begun. I am glad to see all of the many styles being worn on campus. As the leaves start to change so do the trends, the transition from summer to fall has really been an interesting one.
Everyone knows that back to school means a chance to dress up and show off your favorite pieces. That is exactly what this Fashionista exhibited. She gives off a really dope vibe in her classic black and white fit. Black jeans are an absolute must-have for Fashionistas and Fashionistos alike. The fact that they are destroyed denim, gives them a sense of attitude and personality. You can find ripped black jeans almost anywhere and they are usually reasonably priced.
The graphic tee that she is wearing is a work of art, literally, the shirt has a painting of horses in battle on it. I love that she chose this top. The contrast from the white shirt to the black pants allows for both pieces to stand out but still work together to form the perfect back to school outfit.
People always say that diamonds are a girls’ best friend, I am starting to think that that phrase should be updated to gold. I’ve been seeing more gold jewelry lately and less diamonds. This gold chain, I believe, is also a staple everyone should own. It’s easy to pair with any outfit and it definitely gives this one its “street cred.”
Last but not least, the shoes. The black platform sandals are the perfect summer to fall shoe. I have also seen these a lot so far in the semester. They provide comfort and style and can be easily paired with almost anything.
One Simple Change: By adding boots to this outfit and switching the top to a wool knit sweater this look would be perfect for the transition from fall to winter!
