Of course there’s nothing better than lying out all day in the sun or frolicking around music festivals but it’s time to accept that summer is sadly over. With that being said I can’t be too bummed because my favorite season is finally here, FALL! Which means it’s back to school and no one is ever too old to go back to school shopping and picking out that perfect first day outfit!
This Fashionista took a comfortable and confident approach to the first week of classes. The first week of school is full of first impressions and you only get one first impression (no pressure or anything). Don’t get me wrong, I love sleeping in so I always make sure to have an idea what I want to wear to class in advance. Dressing up is important but being comfortable for class is even more important—who says you can’t do both?
Getting from class to class on a big campus isn’t easy or the most fun but with these Nike high-top sneakers she kept it comfortable and easy to get to class. With it still being summer weather here, these ripped denim shorts were a must. Throwing on the oversized flannel makes her outfit look effortless but most importantly ties it all together. Not to mention perfect for the classes that seem to be chilly inside—therefore, creating the ideal outfit to go to class in. She accessorized the outfit just the right amount with a high-low necklace and multiple bronze rings.
What drew me most to this Fashionista’s style was her side cornrows because she absolutely rocked them. Cornrows is a daring hairstyle and what a perfect hairstyle to come into the school year with. If you’re confident about your look you’ll be even more confident in the classroom!
One Simple Change: Going to a concert or just simply going out at night? Change the high top sneakers to some Dr. Martens or any type of combat boots to make it more edgy and you’re ready to rock ‘n’ roll for the night.
