Ready or not, school is about to be back in session! With a new school year comes a new opportunity to experiment with different fashion trends and reinvent your look, and this Fashionisto did just that. When I initially saw his outfit I immediately thought back to the Dolce&Gabbana fall/winter collection for 2016-2017 fashion show which showcased a men’s western-inspired clothing collection. The models were wearing outfits showcasing various different colorful patterns and materials—most of which incorporated denim and suede. Personally, this was my favorite trend in the show because of how uniquely each piece was displayed. One model was wearing a top with feathers on it while another wore one with actual animal details.
What I like about this Fashionisto’s outfit is that he took such a bold fashion trend and turned it into something wearable for everyday use. While he made sure the western trend still remained evident, his outfit isn’t too flashy. The Fashionisto took an aztec-printed shirt which he paired with a cool-toned blue jean. For shoes, he tied the look together with a pair of vintage brown boots. The gently worn in boots really add to this western look and are also very functional to wear while walking around our urban college campus. For a bonus detail, he threw on a Michael Kors wrist watch.
One Simple Change: If the Fashionisto wanted to take this look from the classroom and dress it up to go out with friends later, he could throw on a brown suede jacket, which would also intensify the western vibe.
